ficonTEC at ECOC 2019 in Dublin – Booth #421

Following on from ECOC 2017 in Gothenburg and ECOC 2018 in Rome, ficonTEC will again be exhibiting at ECOC 2019 in Dublin. And in continuing another recent development, a larger booth for Photonics West, for Laser World of Photonics, and now for ECOC 2019 means that we can now better illustrate capabilities and applications by bringing along demo systems - expect to see a TestLine system (electro-optical testing) live in action. Further details on our range of photonics assembly and test machine systems can be found here.

Visitor registration and attendance at ECOC 2019 is free. Further information regarding the conference and exhibition program can be found on the official website.

ficonTEC collaboration with Tyndall

As part of a continuing relationship with the Tyndall National Institute, based in Cork, Ireland, ficonTEC is already deeply involved with the PIXAPP project. Just this Spring/Summer some of you will have also seen the launch of another activity together with Tyndall, namely the National Photonics Manufacturing Pilot Line, designed to engage with sectors such as MedTech, Life Sciences and Communications.

You can hear more about Tyndall, PIXAPP and the current status of integrated photonics manufacturing at a special ECOC Symposium taking place on Sunday September 22, 2019 in Dublin. ficonTEC’s Business Development Director Ignazio Piacentini will be presenting there too.

ficonTEC collaboration with Tyndall - Peter O’Brien, Head of Photonics Packaging, Tyndall and Director of PIXAPP, Torsten Vahrenkamp, CEO of ficonTEC, Ignazio Piacentini, Director of Business Development at ficonTEC and Patrick Morrissey, Head of Photonics Operations and IPIC Centre Manager

News & further events

ficonTEC will be posting some exciting business news and developments over the next few weeks, covering topics such as details of new applications centers and new personell, amongst others. One such development is the new Applications Lab in Shenzhen, PR China, providing demo systems and proof-of-concept opportunities for the greater Asian market.

As a recipient of the ficonTEC Newsletter, expect to hear about these future developments first.

ficonTEC will also be exhibiting at an increasing number of events in the photonics, sensor and automotive calendars through 2019 and 2020, and again bringing the latest demo systems to leading events such as Photonics West 2020 and OFC 2020. Details of the planned events can be found on our website.
