Photonics for device development and diagnostics in healthcare.<\/p><\/div>\n

39 partners from 9 different countries have joined for the PhotonMed project<\/a>, which is funded with 32 million EUR by the ChipsJU\/EU and national funding agencies. The goal is to develop and validate advanced photonics technologies for medical applications. The broad consortium of project partners, who range from research to manufacturing and end-users, are all coordinated by VTT in Finland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

PhotonMed builds on the established MedPhab pilot line model, testing its innovations through 16 pilot cases led by end-user companies. These technologies are designed to accelerate product development, shorten time-to-market, and become accessible to the wider industry through an open-access framework. Pilot case application examples include in vitro diagnostics, such as DNA analytics, in-vivo diagnostics such as the use of catheters for monitoring cardiovascular diseases and personalized monitoring \u2013 personalized applications encompass spectral monitoring of physiological conditions in home settings.<\/p>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=”no” pb_border_bottom=”no” width=”1\/1″ el_position=”first last”]\n
