{"id":7484,"date":"2020-06-18T11:41:19","date_gmt":"2020-06-18T09:41:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ficontec.com\/?p=7484"},"modified":"2023-11-14T16:11:59","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T15:11:59","slug":"collaboration-with-fraunhofer-institutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ficontec.com\/cn\/collaboration-with-fraunhofer-institutes\/","title":{"rendered":"Collaboration with Fraunhofer (Institutes)"},"content":{"rendered":"[blank_spacer height=&#8221;30px&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243; el_position=&#8221;first last&#8221;] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; pb_border_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243; el_position=&#8221;first last&#8221;]\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">June 2020<\/span><\/p>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; pb_border_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243; el_position=&#8221;first last&#8221;]\n<h2>Collaboration with Fraunhofer (Institutes)<\/h2>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; pb_border_bottom=&#8221;no&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243; el_position=&#8221;first last&#8221;]\n<p>Aside from our continuing involvement in international <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ficontec.com\/projects-initiatives\/\">Projects &amp; Initiatives<\/a>, ficonTEC also nurtures direct relationships with a number of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fraunhofer.de\/en\/about-fraunhofer\/profile-structure.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fraunhofer Institutes<\/a> within Germany.<\/p>\n<p>There is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laserfocusworld.com\/fiber-optics\/article\/14074957\/hybrid-integrated-photonics-cultivate-a-value-chain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CustomLine CL1500 at the Fraunhofer HHI<\/a> in Berlin, supporting their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhi.fraunhofer.de\/en\/departments\/pc\/projects\/archive\/polyphotonics-berlin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PolyPhotonics<\/a> activity, and with which ficonTEC is also collaborating on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhi.fraunhofer.de\/en\/departments\/pc\/projects\/teriphic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TERIPHIC<\/a> project. At the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.izm.fraunhofer.de\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IZM in Berlin<\/a> we have AL1000 systems (amongst others) supporting various activities. At the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aachen.fraunhofer.de\/en\/about-us\/ilt.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fraunhofer ILT in Aachen<\/a> we have a high-speed handling system installed that was originally involved with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.izm.fraunhofer.de\/content\/dam\/izm\/de\/documents\/Abteilungen\/System_Integration_Interconnection_Technologies\/Photonik_Packaging\/PrOpSys_Voe\/Final-Report-PrOpSys-engl.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PrOpSys project for HPDLs<\/a>. Additionally, there is a component bonding system in use at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iof.fraunhofer.de\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fraunhofer IOF in Jena<\/a>, and that is utilized in support of the EU-funded <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iqonic-h2020.eu\/project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iQonic<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurostars-eureka.eu\/project\/id\/10419\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> LaReBo<\/a> projects.<\/p>\n<p>And the story does not end there \u2013 two A1200 systems have been delivered to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isit.fraunhofer.de\/en.html\">Fraunhofer ISIT in Itzehoe<\/a> this Fall (2020), for development of \u2018through-silicon\u2019 laser soldering applications.
