R&D \u2013 OptiK-Net to develop direct flexprint technology for cost-effective integration of optical waveguides and electronics<\/h2>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=”no” pb_border_bottom=”no” width=”1\/1″ el_position=”first last”]\n

ficonTEC has entered into a collaboration tasked with the development of flex print technology for polymer-based optical waveguides for optical communications networks, and the application of the approach for the production of integrated electro-optical PDB-flexprint components for short-reach networks.<\/p>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=”no” pb_border_bottom=”no” width=”2\/3″ el_position=”first”]\n

The Optik-Net project<\/a> (available in German only) is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education & Research<\/a> ( in German, the BMBF ) and comprises nine different leading organizations located in Germany and Switzerland.
